Full City Roast Coffees


Our coffee roast styles were selected by our roast master to ensure that we get the most out of our truly exceptional, specialty-grade, green coffee beans... coffee beans that are fair trade and organic!

Full City Roast- our intermediate roast style.  Our Full City-roasted coffee beans are medium to dark brown in color and are generally dry though they are dotted with tiny droplets or patches of oil. Their acidity* tends to be somewhat muted, compared to our Medium Roast, which is characterized by a more pronounced level of acidity.

With the Full City Roast, the ability to discern the flavor characteristics of the green coffee is somewhat dampened.  This roast is also known as a Viennese, Light French, Espresso, Light Espresso, Continental, After-Dinner, and European roast.  According to coffeereview.com, this roast is considered the regular roast for the West and is the norm for northern-Italian style espresso.

*Note - The Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) explains acidity as follows: acidity is not to be confused with the pH scale of scientific acidity; in this case, bright acidity refers to the refreshing, mouth-cleansing quality, a sparkling, lively taste that can help you wake up in the morning.
