This fair trade, organic coffee has a sweet, smoky tobacco-like aroma with a dark chocolate flavor and a low-to-medium acidity.   It is produced by our trading partners at CAC Pangoa.  Located in the central Amazon region, CAC Pangoa grows coffee at 1,100 - 2,000 meters.  Varietals include: Bourbon, Typica, Caturra and Pache.  Pangoa has been extremely successful as a cooperative- increasing its membership to more than 700 small farmers after hundreds dropped off during a wave of violence that swept the Satipo region in the late 1980s.   Today, it encourages members to diversify their incomes through the production of cacao and honey, in addition to coffee.  It also manages educational and health-related programs for its members.

A Toast to the Peru French Roast

This coffee is everything I need in a caffeinated beverage. Strong but yummy! I barely even put any sugar in, and its still SO GOOD!
