Read about Grind Types

We have recently adjusted our grind options. With that in mind, we wanted to offer this primer so that you can choose the best grind-style for your preferred brewing method.

Whole Bean-- While we are happy to grind your beans, your coffee will stay fresher longer if you grind it as you go. There are many great home grinder options out there and many are surprisingly inexpensive.

Drip-- This is a medium grind that is the most versatile. Brewing methods using drip include home coffee drip machines, pour-overs (like Hario), Chemex, and AeroPress.

Espresso-- This grind is generally used for espresso makers. This includes home machines and stove-tip espresso pots. The grind is the most fine and is optimized to work with a high pressure extraction system.

Coarse-- Coarse is for percolators, french press, cold brewing, and sometimes AeroPress. Coarse is the biggest/loosest grind and enables water to move more freely steeping coffee for extraction.

All of the above, while generally true in the industry, also should be adjusted for preference. Feel free to experiment and please contact us if you have questions and we will be happy to work with you.

Product Overview

A blend of Latin American and Indonesian coffees originally created for our friends at Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG), and served at Iowa's ride (RAGBRAI) by our friends at Fair Shot Coffee and Little Farm Fair Trade. This is a fair trade, organic, medium-bodied coffee with a sweet fragrance, mellow flavor, and soft acidity.

Available in a variety of grind options.

A portion of this blend's sales are donated to BRAG's Dream Team.

    Best coffee

Posted by Scott on Jan 4th 2021

This coffee is so smooth and tasty. I first tasted this coffee on the BRAG ride and thought it was the special brewing, but after ordering it and having at home, it’s the coffee. It’s the only coffee I’ve found I enjoy black.

    Single Origin Better

Posted by Ciara on Aug 12th 2020

We got this blend because we had a coupon, but I much prefer their single blends. We found the acidity a bit too high for our taste and the aftertaste a little bitter. It's fine with creamer, but not smooth if enjoyed black.

I was missing the BRAG this year, so I bought the BRAG brew and it was a great decision! Such good coffee.

    BRAG

Posted by Mary on Aug 21st 2017

I've ridden RAGBRAI the last two years and made sure each morning starts with BRAG. Both last year and this year I kept part of the experience alive by ordering BRAG (whole bean) for my morning coffee. Thanks Cafe Campesino.

I love this coffee from my week on RAGBRAI. Same great blend and it foams up nicely in my espresso machine. So good!
