Working out of "respect and harmony for Mother Earth", ASOANEI produces a smooth, sweet and lightly acidic coffee from the northern mountains of Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Serrania del Perija regions. Founded in 1995 by Aurora Izquierdo, the first indigenous woman of the Arhuaco tribe to leave home for a university education, ASOANEI helps develop the local economy while also preserving traditions of the local Yewrwa community.

Grind Types
Whole Bean-- While we are happy to grind your beans, your coffee will stay fresher longer if you grind it as you go. There are many great home grinder options out there and many are surprisingly inexpensive.
Drip-- This is a medium grind that is the most versatile. Brewing methods using drip include home coffee drip machines, pour-overs (like Hario), Chemex, and AeroPress.
Espresso-- This grind is generally used for espresso makers. This includes home machines and stove-tip espresso pots. The grind is the most fine and is optimized to work with a high pressure extraction system.
Coarse-- Coarse is for percolators, french press, cold brewing, and sometimes AeroPress. Coarse is the biggest/loosest grind and enables water to move more freely steeping coffee for extraction.
All of the above, while generally true in the industry, also should be adjusted for preference. Feel free to experiment and please contact us if you have questions and we will be happy to work with you.

5 Surprisingly good

I think I get why Care Campesino roasted these St. Marta Snow Mountain coffee to French: this coffee has both its aroma and taste note an amazing roastING wild walnut (sect. Cardiocaryon) tone that cannot be strengthened until dark. If these Arhuaco coffee pits were light-roasted they would just become another plain fruity Colombian coffee but now it's special. Upon transferring the wholebean coffee to a jar, for hours my entire room smells like the day I roasted the oil outta the wild picked Juglans cathayensis at home. If you're not familiar to the oily wild walnut, from what I read the indigenous American butternut (a.k.a. white walnut, sect. Trachycaryon) is similar in taste, look, genetic history and everything, so you may get the note if you've ever roasted that before.

It’s my favorite after trying most of the single origin. I’ve been getting coffee here for maybe 15 years. It’s the best.

5 Columbia French Roast

My favorite coffee. Have been drinking it for years. Combined with the House Blend Decaf French Roast (brew half of each together) I enjoy two 16 ounce mugs each morning giving me the necessary jolt while enjoying 32 ounces of superb coffee each day.

The Columbian French Roast is my favorite. It is a true dark roast and the best I have had. I love that I can order a 5 pound bag of whole bean coffee and it is here on time every month to replenish my supply!
